The value of a James K. Polk dollar coin depends on several factors, including its condition, mint mark, and any potential errors.

Here’s a general overview

  • Circulated James K. Polk Presidential Dollars in average condition are generally worth their face value of $1.
  • Uncirculated (BU) coins , especially those in high grades (MS+), tend to fetch a premium, ranging from $4 to $12. You can find these on collector sites like APMEX for around $3.11 to $6.25.
  • Special mint products , such as proof coins or rolls of coins, may also have higher value. For instance, a proof 2009-S James K. Polk Presidential Dollar is estimated to be worth $4.91 or more.
  • Error coins can be quite valuable. Examples include coins missing the edge lettering, which can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars depending on the grade and authentication. There are also examples of a 2009 P James K. Polk Presidential Dollar with a cud error which was listed for $250.

From my experience, Polk, who served from 1845 to 1849. As a special issue coin, the 2009 P James K. Polk dollar coin was issued in limited quantities and is considered a collectible item by numismatists and coin collectors. It, indeed, is a rare find.

Great question! The most expensive Presidential Dollar coin is the 2009 SMS William Henry Harrison with missing edge lettering, graded 69/70, which can sell for up to $2,450. The least expensive among the top valuable coins is the 2007 SMS Jefferson dollar with missing edge lettering, graded 67, valued at $600.

I can help with that. The Presidential dollar coin features one of the boldest and most beautiful coins ever created by the United States Mint. The traditional inscriptions “E Pluribus Unum,” the date of issuance and the mint mark have been moved to the edge of the coin, making it unique among circulating coins.

      Examine the Coin’s Date
One of the easiest ways to tell if a coin is rare is to check the date. If the coin is from before 1800, it’s likely rare. Coins minted in the 19th century are also generally considered rare, with a few exceptions.
