To obtain the Amulet Coin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to complete a small task for a specific NPC.
Here’s how to do it:
- Travel to Medali: This town is located in West Province (Area Three).
- Find the League Representative: Go to the Pokémon Center in Medali and locate the man in a suit, who is a Battle League Rep.
- Accept the Challenge: Talk to the League Rep, and they’ll ask you to defeat five trainers in the surrounding area.
- Defeat the Trainers: Explore Area Three of the West Province and battle five different trainers.
- Return to the League Rep: Once you’ve defeated five trainers, go back to the Pokémon Center in Medali and speak with the League Rep again.
- Receive the Amulet Coin: The League Rep will reward you with the Amulet Coin.
- The trainers’ Pokémon levels range from the upper 20s to the mid-30s.
- You’ll likely need to progress a bit in the story and acquire the ability to swim with Koraidon or Miraidon to access all parts of the area and find the trainers.
- Trainers in Scarlet and Violet don’t force you into battle if you make eye contact, so you’ll need to actively seek them out.
Once you have the Amulet Coin, you can give it to one of your Pokémon as a held item. When that Pokémon participates in a battle against another trainer, you’ll receive double the prize money.
How does Amulet Coin work in Scarlet?
In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the Amulet Coin can drastically increase how much money a player can earn, this is due to its effect of doubling any prize money received as long as the holder joins the battle at least once.
