A coin drop game generally refers to a game where coins or tokens are dropped into a mechanism with the goal of pushing other coins, tokens, or prizes off a ledge and into a collection tray.

Coin drop games usually involve a playfield covered in coins or tokens that moves back and forth. Players insert coins into a slot, aiming to strategically place them on the moving platform. The goal is to create a chain reaction that pushes coins and prizes off the ledge and into a payout slot.

The first recognizable coin pusher, called Penny Falls, was created in 1964 by Alfred Crompton Ltd. It featured a single, large, moving playfield where multiple players could participate simultaneously. Over time, coin pusher machines evolved to include features like multiple levels, bonus rounds, and progressive jackpots.

Today, coin pusher machines are commonly found in arcades, amusement parks, and entertainment centers. Modern coin pushers often incorporate unique features such as:

  • Self-contained systems: Recycling fallen coins back to the top for re-play.
  • Automatic prize dispensing: Adding trading cards, plastic chips, or other items to the playfield automatically.
  • Skill-based mechanics: Some games incorporate elements of skill and timing, making them more engaging.

The legality of coin pushers varies depending on the location. While some people consider them harmless games, many jurisdictions regulate or prohibit them due to their potential to resemble gambling. Commercial coin pushers with cash payouts are subject to gambling laws. However, some home-use coin pushers are designed purely for entertainment and are not intended for real gambling.

Some popular coin pusher games include Ticket Circus, Star Trek, Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka, Galaxy Hunter, and Angry Birds Coin Pusher. There are also coin pusher games with RPG mechanics available on mobile platforms.

I can help with that. And the next player clockwise. Goes the number six spot has a hole in the box. So you can roll a six as many times as you like without getting a penalty.

Good point! Goes. If the penny moves to the same space as the dime then the penny. Wins. If the penny fails to move to the same space as the dime by the end of the seventh. Turn then the dime player wins.

Your goal when playing is to get coins to drop flat on the upper tray so that they can push stuff off. Landing coins on top of the other coins does nothing for you. The proper timing is that the moment the tray is starting to push out, you fire a couple of coins and they should land at the back of the tray.
