Centenario Coin Weight: 41.67 grams and Gold Content Details

The Centenario, also known as the Mexican 50 Peso gold coin, has a total weight of 41.67 grams or approximately 1.3396 troy ounces . This weight is comprised of a 90% gold and 10% copper alloy.

Specifically, a Centenario contains 37.5 grams of pure gold, equivalent to 1.2057 troy ounces . The remaining 4.17 grams is copper, which enhances the coin’s strength and gives it a reddish hue.

In terms of purity, the Centenario is 21.6 karats or .900 fine.
