Even without a coin in its mouth, a Feng Shui frog, also known as a Money Frog or Three-Legged Toad, can be a significant symbol in the context of attracting and safeguarding wealth according to Feng Shui principles.

Here’s why and how it can be used:

  • Protecting existing wealth: An “empty-mouthed” Money Frog is often interpreted as a symbol for safeguarding your current financial resources rather than solely attracting new wealth.
  • Symbol of prosperity: The frog itself, regardless of the coin, is considered a powerful symbol of prosperity and abundance in Chinese culture.
  • Alternative enhancements: If you wish to attract new wealth or signify specific desires, you can place a crystal or a piece of jade near or with the frog figurine instead of a coin.
  • Emphasizing giving back: Some interpretations suggest that an empty-mouthed Money Frog highlights the importance of giving back or contributing to charity.
  • Wealth corner: Identify the wealth corner of your house, typically the southeast direction according to the Bagua map, and place the frog there.
  • Far-left corner: Alternatively, place the lucky frog figurine in the far-left corners of your house, which are associated with wealth and prosperity.
  • Facing outward: To symbolize absorbing wealth from the outside and protecting your existing finances, the frog without a coin should ideally face outward.
  • Elevated position: Place the frog on a slightly elevated pedestal or table to accumulate positive energies.
  • Ground placement: Do not place the frog figurine directly on the ground.
  • Excessive height: Avoid placing it too high, such as on a top shelf.
  • Certain rooms: Do not place it in the bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen.
  • Broken figurines: Replace any broken or damaged lucky frog figurines immediately.

Remember, the effectiveness of Feng Shui practices often relies on belief and intention. When incorporating a Feng Shui frog without a coin, consider your specific goals and place it with mindfulness and respect.

The lucky frog should be placed in the far-left corners of the house, per Feng Shui maps. The family will benefit from wealth, good fortune, and prosperity as a result. It is said to be good to place the Feng Shui frog at the places where you keep your money. This includes your wallet or cash register at work.

From my experience, A feng shui frog is also a symbol of health. Placing a feng shui frog in the house will attract good energy that will keep the members of the family healthy and happy. The frog’s red eyes are said to ward off evil and it is said to eliminate negative energy that latches on to a family.
