- Go to Celadon City : Locate the restaurant/diner in the southeast of the city, south of the Game Corner.
- Talk to the disgruntled gambler: Enter the restaurant and find the man sitting at a table in the corner. He will mention that he’s lost all his money gambling and no longer needs his Coin Case, then he’ll give it to you.
With the Coin Case, you can now exchange coins at the Celadon Game Corner to play the slot machines and acquire prizes like rare items and Pokémon. You can also purchase coins at the counter inside the Game Corner.
Note: In the modified version of the game, Pokémon Radical Red, the Coin Case is unavailable, and you obtain items and gift Pokémon directly with cash at the Prize Exchange.
