Many branches of Navy Federal Credit Union no longer offer coin-counting machines . Previously, they had machines where members could deposit loose change, which would then be credited to their accounts.

However, reports indicate that these machines have been removed from many locations due to maintenance issues and people depositing items other than coins. If you wish to deposit coins, you may need to roll them yourself. Navy Federal may provide free coin wrappers for this purpose.

It is recommended to contact your local Navy Federal branch to inquire about their current coin deposit policies and services before visiting. You can use the branch locator tool on the Navy Federal website to find the phone number for your nearest branch.

Good point! Certain credit unions and community banks still have coin-counting machines. The majority of large banks, such as Bank of America, Chase and Capital One, do not have coin-counting machines for their customers anymore, though you can still receive coin wrappers.

Good point! Your local bank branch is a good place to exchange coins. The branch will typically give you coin wrappers for free. Credit unions or community banks are more likely to have free coin-counting machines for members.
