The value of a 1970 uncirculated coin set varies depending on whether it contains the more common Large Date or the rarer Small Date Lincoln cent.

  • Large Date Set: These sets are generally found in the range of $18.95-$24.99.
  • Small Date Set: These sets are significantly more valuable, potentially reaching $65 or more. They are about 15 to 20 times rarer than the Large Date versions.

– One example was found at Golden Eagle Coins for $69.50.
– Another at Littleton Coin Company for $130.

  • Includes Brilliant Uncirculated examples of each circulating coin produced at each mint during the year.
  • Contains a 40% Silver Kennedy Half Dollar, which was only distributed through these sets in 1970.
  • The set contains coins from the Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D mint mark), and San Francisco (S mint mark) mints.
  • The original government packaging (OGP) consists of two clear plastic cellophane packets, two cardboard inserts, and an envelope.
  • The quality of the coins in these sets can vary, even within the same set, as they were pulled from regular production runs.

Note: Prices for collector’s items can fluctuate based on market demand and condition.

Thanks for asking. The 1970 Proof Set includes all coins: the Penny, nickel, dime, quarter and the Half Dollar. This is the last regular U.S. Proof Set to include a silver coin. The set includes the . 400 silver Kennedy Half Dollar, which was also the last regular-issue silver coin in U.S. history.

Great question! 1970: Sets with the 1970-S “Small Date” Lincoln Cent and the 1970 “No S” Roosevelt Dime (approx. 2,200) included in mintage.

Great question! Yes, uncirculated coins are typically worth more than circulated ones, especially to collectors, due to their pristine condition and potential for significant appreciation in value over time.
