      According to the NGC Price Guide, as of August 2025, a Eisenhower Dollar from 1972 in circulated condition is worth between $1.05 and $1.50. However, on the open market 1972 Silver Dollars in pristine, uncirculated condition sell for as much as $2000.

      From my experience, Even though they were special order coins, some 40% Eisenhower silver dollars still made their way into circulation. Besides checking for an ā€œSā€ mintmark on the obverse or front of the coin, collectors can check the edge of the coin for a copper stripe.
