On the obverse (heads) of the dime, the United States’ 10-cent coin, is the likeness of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President. He has been featured on the dime since 1946, shortly after his death.
Roosevelt was chosen for the dime, in part, due to his instrumental role in establishing the March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to fighting polio, a disease he himself contracted.
The reverse side of the dime features a torch, an olive branch, and an oak branch, symbolizing liberty, peace, and strength respectively. This design was created by John R. Sinnock, the Chief Engraver at the U.S. Mint.
What year is the $2000000 dime?
The 1894-S Barber Dime might be small in size, but its value can leave anyone speechless. This rare coin has been known to sell for up to $2 million. With only a few ever minted and even fewer surviving today, it’s no wonder collectors consider it one of the rarest treasures in American numismatics.

In 1869, his likeness appeared on the $2 bill.
